With high switching capacity, the S62X series supports high-speed L2/L3 forwarding and high routing performance for IPv4 and IPv6 protocols. Connectivity to the S62X's 10 Gigabit Ethernet network is via a hot-pluggable 10 Gigabit SFP+ transceiver that supports distances of up to 300 meters over multimode fiber and 10 to 40 km over single-mode fiber (distance depends on the selected optical module).
VSF (Virtual Switch Framework)
The Virtual Switch Framework allows you to virtualize multiple ZRJ switches into a single logical device, allowing information and data tables to be shared between different switches. The performance and port density of a virtualized device when using VSF increases several times. VSF also simplifies the network administrator's management work and provides greater reliability.

The S62X series provides high-performance hardware-based IP routing. RIP, OSPF, ISIS, and BGP provide dynamic routing by exchanging routing information with other Layer 3 switches and routers.
